Existem rumores, que são cada vez menos rumores de que as cópias ilegais do Windows serão desligadas.

Depois que a Microsoft resolveu incluir na atualização automática o WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage), um software que atesta se a cópia sendo utilizada é ilegal ou não, muitos se perguntaram o que a Microsoft faria com este tipo de software.

Ao que tudo indica a resposta já foi dada, só não foi oficializada.

Antes que as pessoas fiquem loucas de raiva, desde que não esteja coletando dados sigilosos dos usuários, ela tem todo direito de proteger sua propriedade intelectual.

Porém eu gostaria de levantar uma questão, se a Microsoft, realmente, fizer com que todas as cópias ilegais do windows XP parem de funcionar, quantos usuários desse sis tema sobrarão?

O que pode parecer uma excelente jogada, pode acabar virando um tiro no pé.

Não foi dito nada em relação a quando e como vai ser feito (também não me preocupei muito em me aprofundar, já que minha única cópia do Windows é legalizada e todos os computadores possuem o Ubuntu que é free, em todos os sentidos da palavra).

Como não é a primeira vez que leio este tipo de reportagem, acredito que o negócio esteja mesmo ficando sério, aconselho aos usuários de cópias não legais, que visitem o site da comunidade Ubuntu Brasil e experimente um excelente sistema operacional, com grande facilidade para o usuário de desktop e que é gratuito.

E façam backup de seus dados, a Microsoft não precisa avisar quando resolver fazer isso ;).

bom! eu a poucos meses atrás descobri tbm que minha copia do windows não era original. No momento deu um pouco de desespero mas logo depois de ums 6 meses adquiri a licença do windows origonal!
se a microsoft for realmente desligar os windows ilegais não irão fazer isso por agora, irão esperar o número de liçesas cadastradas aulmentar e ai sim vão desligar os piratas. Uma empresa tão poderoza nunca jogaria para perder!!!
